I PLAYED GOLF FOR 24 HOURS STRAIGHT AND LIVED TO TELL THE TALE
I hit the links to benefit Folds of Honor in an event held during the 2019 SAS Championship.

Walking up to the range, I saw a line of Senior Tour Professionals hitting balls, getting a lil practice in after playing their opening round for the SAS Championship that day.
There were a few open spots… Justin (my playing partner) and I made our way inside the ropes.
My heart was racing already, worried about the feat ahead: playing golf for 24 hours straight. I had been awake already for eight hours, 5 pm on Saturday seemed so far away.
Adding to the nerves, I couldn’t help but picture images of me chili dipping wedges much to Jesper Parnevik’s dismay.
Oh well, what else can you do but keep swinging + moving forward? This was for a great cause after all: raising money for Folds of Honor, a charity that benefits the families of soldiers who were wounded or killed in action.
Brian and Andy (Golf Professionals at Prestonwood Country Club, our opponents for the charitable 4 Ball Match) were a couple bays down. We said hello, exchanged banter, laughter, and excitement for the long day ahead, and got ready for the course.
