WE GOT A SNEAK PEAK OF SHEEP RANCH, BANDON DUNES' FIFTH GOLF COURSE

A tour of the Oregon resort's upcoming Coore & Crenshaw-designed course.

Once fabled as the speakeasy of Bandon Dunes, land north of the resort kept a secret golf oasis that few knew of.  If you asked the right questions at the right time, one may have been fortunate enough to get pointed out to a hidden playground of tees + greens, a place to themselves for the day.

Welp, the cat’s out of the bag and birdies beware: Sheep Ranch is a fantasy no more, officially announced as Bandon Dunes’ future 5th golf course, coming June 2020 (and perhaps will be the very best of ’em all).

Coore & Crenshaw’s team, tasked with the design, is hard at work blending beauty along the Pacific Coast.  They’ve carefully plotted their way from the furthest out to in, shaping + seeding along the way.

After our group teed it on Pacific Dunes (you can see those shots in our previous log post here), we were offered one final treat before heading back to PDX: a behind the curtains tour of Sheep Ranch in the design stage.

Sheep Ranch is being built from out to in -- off in the distance you can see the seed taking root.
Thirsty Thursdays
Pacific Ocean views on every hole to be had.
Soaking in the sounds + sights
It was incredible to see how close green complexes were to the cliff line. You don't wanna go long here.

The story of Sheep Ranch is just beginning, and like any great cliff hanger, we can’t wait to see the next chapter.
Many thanks to Bandon Dunes for showing us the new digs!  // #golfishome
