WHY PORTLAND'S EASTMORELAND IS MY FAVORITE GOLF COURSE
With a double-decker driving range and a mix of grit, difficulty, and manicure, Eastmoreland is the perfect spot for an evening range sesh.

Throughout my golf journey, I’ve been fortunate enough to experience just about every type of golf course on the spectrum. Everything from your underfunded local 9-holer to Pebble Beach; all of which have their own special and unique place in the golf ecosystem.
I’ve found my sweet spot: and it’s Eastmoreland in Portland, Oregon (check out L+L’s Eastmoreland print here). For me, it’s the perfect mixture of grittiness, manicure, difficulty, and overall vibe. It sits between a busy railroad system and Reed College, one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in all of Portland.
The driving range is a double-decker, with yellow yardage signs and baskets to hit into. It’s open late, illuminated by stadium lights at night. It’s a perfect place to bring homies of all skill levels to hit some balls. Recently, I did just that with my brother Scott and partner Hannah. I brought the camera along to snag some shots of our late evening summer range sesh.
It’s the little outings like this that, to me, are some of the most special moments we live in this life. We of course go through life and have those big events we remember forever, but then there are those little moments that you can’t quite figure out why they remain on our mind. My thinking is it’s because you were with people or were in a place that felt like home. Eastmoreland is most definitely that.
