PUTT FOR DOUGH //

THIS BREAD-THEMED GOLF PRINT INSPIRED US TO MAKE SOURDOUGH

Miss out on Covid-era bread-making? It's not too late.

Do you remember that stretch of time during Covid when it felt like everyone and their dog was making sourdough bread? Me too. Except, sadly, I never partook in the festivities! I love bread, probably to a fault. There is nothing better than a warm, toasted piece of bread dipped in olive oil and balsamic. Is your mouth watering yet? Mine is too.

When the crew back at HQ in Raleigh sent me prints, the Putt for Dough print, which you can cop yourself here, really captured my eye (and appetite). I saw it as a great piece of art to put in the kitchen, one that inspired me to finally take up the bread making adventure. Below is a visual recap of said endeavor, one that I hope you enjoy and perhaps even take inspiration from to make your own bread. If you feel so moved — and if you missed out on the early Covid bread making era — here’s a recipe that can guide you in the process.

Let's get activated!
Feel like LeBron James.
Kneading it one more time...
...and let it rise, one more time.
Gotta be honest, y'all. I'm not convinced.
This'll help!
Scoring the dough.
See you in a little bit.
Flag out. Always.
Nothing like the first cut into a loaf of bread.
The finished product!
Putt For Dough.

It’s safe to say I wont be taking my “talents” to any Portland bakery for a career switch any time soon, but that sure was fun, and I did juuuuuust poorly enough that I now want to immediately try it all over again. Poor Hannah! Until next time, you can Putt for Dough in your own home with our L+L print, and keep spreading the good word that Golf is Home.
